THE PASTON TREASURE – Lecture and Open Day May 23rd

|

‘The Paston Treasure’ was painted at Oxnead in the 1660’s. It depicts many of the treasure collect by the Paston family for Oxnead Hall, and this year the painting is the focus of an exciting exhibition. The painting, a number of the objects depicted in it, and 140 other items will be displayed first at Yale Centre for British Art and later at Norwich Castle Museum. A book and film will also be released for the exhibition. Prior to the arrival of the exhibition in Norwich, an open day will be held at Oxnead, which will include a lecture, tea and cake and a garden tour.
